• The 16vs showcases a plethora of features designed for optimal performance and user convenience. It features a 16″ (400mm) diameter vertical screen, ensuring an excellent viewing experience, and provides a reversed and inverted image. The high-resolution ground glass screen is equipped with a calibration reticle, 90-degree cross lines, and chart clips for enhanced precision. Additionally, the machined chart ring includes a vernier protractor for accurate alignments.
• The stage of the 16vs is of high specification, capable of holding up to 50 lbs, though this capacity is reduced to 15 lbs when using the glass insert. The overall size of the stage is 15″ x 10.5″ (350x267mm), with an 11″ x 7″ (280x178mm) glass insert and an 8″ x 4″ (200x100mm) travel. The focal distance in the Z-axis is 4″ (100mm), and there are multiple stage options available, offering up to 16″ x 8″ of travel.
• The 16vs utilizes a quartz halogen light source, which is fan-cooled and electronically dimmed to ensure a long lamp life. The dynamic optical head maintains constant mass accuracy, and the instrument includes a built-in rotary 3 lens turret and a 2 position condenser turret. Standard non-coaxial surface illumination is provided, and the device is housed in a welded plate steel case.
