The 14HE benchtop comparator is Dorsey Metrology’s basic and most economical comparator with the same high quality features as the other comparators in our product line, but in a smaller package at a lower price. The addition of our extra long-life LED surface illumination is another Dorsey innovation.

Features

  • The Model 14HE Horizontal Beam is designed for precision and ease of use, featuring a 14″ (350mm) angled high-resolution glass screen with 90-degree cross lines, a calibration reticle, and chart clips for optimum viewing.
  • The profile image is reversed and inverted, and alignment is facilitated by a machined chart ring with a vernier protractor marked in 1-minute graduations. The system incorporates coated telecentric parfocal optics and a quick change single lens mount for convenience. Durability is ensured with a solid cast iron, nickel-plated stage, supported by X&Y solid rail crossed roller bearings, and a single universal dovetail stage. The stage has a size of 16″ x 4″ (400 x 100mm), an 8″ (200mm) X-axis travel with quick release, a 4″ (100mm) Y-axis travel, and a 50 lbs capacity, along with a ± 5-degree light source helix adjustment.
  • Accuracy and reliability are guaranteed with a NIST traceable calibration certificate and 1/4 micron scales as standard equipment. Additionally, the product comes with a 2-year limited warranty, ensuring peace of mind and reliable performance.
